What Field Tested Means
“Field tested” isn’t a marketing phrase. It’s a standard. Every Silent Valor product goes through a process of material selection, construction evaluation, and real-world use testing before it ships.
We don’t test in controlled labs only. We test in the conditions our gear is designed for: heat, cold, rain, dust, sustained carry, rough handling, and extended field use. If it fails under stress, it doesn’t ship.

Every material is selected for a reason. Every construction method is chosen because it performs under conditions that break alternatives.
1680D Ballistic Polyester + DWR Coating
1680-denier ballistic polyester sets the standard for impact-resistant gear. Polyester beats nylon on UV stability and water absorption. The shell will not yellow under sun exposure and stays lighter when wet. It’s what the U.S. military specifies for load-bearing gear because nothing else matches its combination of strength, weight, and longevity. DWR (Durable Water Repellent) coating adds waterproofing without adding weight or stiffness. Water beads and rolls off, gear stays dry, and the fabric stays flexible in any climate.

YKK Zippers & Hardware
Zippers are the most common failure point in tactical gear. Cheap zippers seize, corrode, and split under load. When your zipper fails in the field, your gear is useless. YKK is the industry standard for a reason: smooth operation, corrosion resistance, and proven durability across tens of thousands of open-close cycles. Every zipper on Silent Valor gear is YKK.

Faraday Shielding
RF and NFC shielding protects electronics and sensitive data from wireless tracking, skimming, and unauthorized access. The CARGO backpack integrates Faraday-lined pockets in both the front admin pocket and the electronics compartment, so your devices, cards, and passports are invisible to scanners when stored.

Ballistic Protection: Tested to NIJ Standards
Our armor is tested to NIJ standards: same rounds, same protocols, same pass/fail criteria. Level IIIA soft armor, Level III+ hard plates, and Level IV hard plates are each tested with the specific rounds and conditions defined by NIJ 0101.06. We publish results, and our Test It Yourself Program lets customers live-fire test their own armor to verify performance firsthand.
