The name came first.
Andrew Pfeifer's father served in Special Forces in Vietnam. He came home missing a leg, and with a generation of brothers who carried what they'd seen quietly. Andrew grew up around them. They were quiet, reserved, often funny. And every one of them, at any moment, could do exactly what they'd been trained to do. They carried valor silently.
The bag came later. A conversation between Andrew and an Air Force officer at Eglin AFB about personnel paying premium prices for basic bags when they needed gear for short trips off-base. Andrew saw the gap and built the first CARGO for military personnel going off-base for a few days. He brought the operating side to David Oberlander, and the company began.
The customer turned out broader than the original brief. International travelers, executives carrying sensitive documents, parents who want protection without performance. The need is the same: gear that does its job, doesn't draw attention, and is there when it matters.
